Well its been a while and my life has changed considerably. 1. I left GW: it was getting a too hectic with not enough money coming in, so I left.
2. Temp agencies can suck, I've registered with a few agencies and haven't gotten anything, although that may be because of the timing. I know brilliant right :) but have no fear ...
3. I've started doing a bit of ebay bizness and plan on selling painted models online. I've actually made out pretty good over the past two weeks and its kept me from being totally broke over xmas. I'll post some pics soon.
4. I've made a resolution to listen to as much up beat music as possible. weather its stuff like the Go! Team, bouncy jungle or breakbeats. I need to work for my happiness as hard as I work on my minis. in short all is good and I am actually feeling good about things despite my less than spectacular circumstances, wait what am I saying My circumstances are great! I'm making money off of the skills I learned over the past year, I have a woman that loves me, I am keeping a roof over my head and I can go to work in my boxers!

BOH!

I'm in a weird musical mood tonight.

Cristen is asleep and I am wide awake. It hardly even registers that its 1am right now. I've just spent some time looking up Boltthrower album art and downloads, and now I am seeking out thoser really well produced songs that I remember from highschool and college that I like, even if I didn't feel all of the artists work or thought they were overhyped.

In other news the job is getting interesting. We had some major personnel shifts and had a period where it was just me and one other guy S. working the shop. It has been hectic but we are getting out of it very soon. I still love the job, but I confesst o having some real hair pulling moments in my breif career as a hobby specialist.

Music wise thing are looking up. I've decided to get back in to the mix, litterally. I have a few possible gigs in the air. I still need to get some replacement needles for my turntables. Did a little bit of record shopping two weeks ago and found some really really incredible records. I'll post more about them soon.

aw hell naw

I had a double headder sceduled for later this month, a class from nj wanting 2 tours in the same day. Well they wanted to reschedule, fine. but the new date they want is in November. So it looks like I am going to be out 220 for october, which seems to be the magic number for me this season. I fucking hate this shit sometimes. I get to the point of almost having enough to carry over in to next month and then some shit happens. If it had been just one tour I would have atleast been able to pay my rent now I'm going to be short again. Even if I start tutoring by monday, if they pay biweekly like most places I'm not goign to be seeing that money for like almost a month. Why the hell am I doing this?

yay! they are paying for it!

The tutoring company that hired me last week IS goign to pay for my fingerprinting. that makes everything else sooo much easier. I will propbly do the tutoring for at least a few months then get my substitute teaching lisecens by january, should only run me about 75 with out the fingerprinitng costs. I'm goign to try and tutor and teach at the same time, we will see how that works out when we get there.

changes

Man this has been a hell of a three week period. I thought I was going to have to borrow a crap load of money to make my rent. September was an awful month for tours, I only did about four for the whole month. I have been looking for other work on top of the tours but by and large things havent worked out (read sept. 19th and 21st posts).  Luckily I found another tutoring company that willlikely pay fo rmy fingerprinting and pay for the 10 hours of training. However thats not going to start for another two weeks at least.
In even better news October is looking like the busyist month for me tour wise in a while. I have 12 tours lined up. Most of them were booked over the past few days. So now I can pay my rent albeit late and in 2 parts, and not have to worry about hopping turnstyles to get to work. Also I can actually get around to cleaning my room, which I've been neglecting becasue of obbsessivly checking the job listings on craigslist and monster.com. So I am fiscaly stable for at least the next month or so YAY.
In other news
My folks came up for a day this weekend. My mom went to a Thesophical convention, just to hear the ideas. I got breakfast with them and my brother. They also brought my favorite painitng of my mom's up for me to keep. Its hanging over the dinning table in outr living room and looks really good.
Cristen's show went up this weekend also. It is a production of the musical Ragtime. Even though i am not a musical theater fan I loved it. After the opening Cris and soem friends of ours stayed up untill around 3am talking and listening to music and eating chinatexican.
Life can be good.... once the rent is paid.

now on to the cleaning!

Well, I had a bit of a crappy start to my morning. I had applied for a part time tutoring position last week and had the group interview this morning. I got there late, I may have arrived right on time on other interviews but never a half hour late. This was mostly due to the fact that the printer in my apartment is out of color ink and won't print a black and white document-like my resume- even if it has a almost full black ink cartridge. But whatever. There was another group interview an hour after the 10 am one I was scheduled for. It went really well and I got the job, downside need $115 to get fingerprinted and will probly only be working about 10 to 15 hours a week for 15 per hour. commence head banging against the wall now.

in other news, take a look at this. Apparently schools are loaded with advertising, presumably to get revenue for them, but most of them are hardly getting enough to by textbooks
